Thanks Kevin, for the reminder about how persistence pays off when it comes to yoga, how difficult yet rewarding it is to keep showing up, how it's the little changes in our bodies that feel so incredibly good.

Flowing from the mat to the car, I breathe deeply while the car in front of me exhibits behavior that attempts to pull on my primal urges to shriek and throw things at it. As I drive up to an unexpected complete stop at road work site, where I must wait 30 minutes until my turn to continue on to my destination. I breathe deeply as little children tug and pull at my shirt sleeve, complaining that the other children aren’t playing fair. As I bend over to pick up a weeping child, I exhale fully as I squat low and remember to inhale just as equally on my way back up to standing. Reaching forward to grasp a scarf on a far hook, I extend my body into a warrior III to achieve the greatest stretch whilst obtaining my treasure. In moments of sheer distress or pain, I remember to surrender and concentrate on a single focus. Flowing from mind to body to spirit in a non-linear motion, throughout the course of my day, offers a connection between me, my mat, my life, and my guru.

Cherie! That is beautiful. We find out paths in such amazing ways. Through movement we find purpose. I always thought it would be the other way around, but yoga has taught me different.

Cherie,
What a wonderful reminder: Practice, practice, practice. My practice ebbs and flows but as others have mentioned, I return to it again and again, especially in challenging moments, when I need to breathe, or center or stretch (literally and figuratively). I love knowing I can find you here on your bog when my practice wavers. The call of your voice always helps me practice.

Laura and I are now officially engaged to be married.

Thank you again Cherie for bringing the sacred space of the yoga loft to Sonora. I am eternally grateful for what you have helped bring into my life.

I feel more at home in the Yoga Loft than most places. The atmosphere is tranquil and the people that are drawn to spend hours there seem to be open and light-hearted.

Upon meeting Christopher in the Yoga Loft I already felt at home and open in the familiar setting. It was natural to be at home with my self in this setting and I believe that Christopher saw that in me. Through our semester of casual chatting he and I were able to learn a lot about each other. We were able to connect on a level that is not as easily obtained in the common places for meeting people (bars, clubs, supermarkets, etc.).

In a more recent conversation with Christopher we have come to the conclusion that before our first 'official' date we had already become comfortable talking to each other. Our conversations were natural and flowed quite well. All of this came with a foundation of our Yoga practice and being open to the different flows of conversation.

Now, after the beginning of our 'Yoga Love Studio' romance, Christopher and I can comically reminisce about our eagerness and enhanced love for our twice-a-week class. Both he and I looked forward to coming to class to see each other and for the love of Yoga (and Cherie). The Yoga Loft now has a foundational and common love in both our hearts in our relationship together.

And like Christopher said, we believe that the members of our class knew that we were dating before he and I did. The journey through this life is funny sometimes and I believe that the process of opening myself to the universe (through my study of Yoga) made me receptable to love at the Yoga Loft.

The love and support of Cherie has opened my eyes and brought many beautiful people in my life--all of which I am thankful for---and more recently has brought Christopher in my life.

Thank You Cherie,

Namaste.
