Vinyasa Yoga Workshop

This workshop will offer a more in-depth understanding of Vinyasa yoga, which has become one of the most popular styles of yoga here in the West.
In the first part of this workshop, we will focus on the “vinyasa flow,” the importance of alignment and variations, and the practice of linking movements with breath -which is the meaning of the word, Vinyasa.- We will also cover sequencing and how we can structure a class and/or our own personal practice, to encompass a variety of postures that strengthen, stretch and nourish the body, mind and spirit by using this flow-style practice.
The second part of this workshop will give us the opportunity to flow through a vinyasa yoga practice, embodying what we’ve learned.
Having grown up as a dancer, Winter appreciates vinyasa yoga because of the freedom and creativity it allows in the sequencing and variations. Winter encourages an intuitive approach to this practice and will incorporate practices and teachings which can help us to connect with the movements that are intuitively wanting to be expressed in the body.
